Opening Speech
An opening speech usually lasts for about a minute to a minute thirty seconds. An opening speech is an opportunity for a delegate to express their country’s views on the specific problem that they have given. This is also a wonderful opportunity for the delegate to regard clauses that they would like the committee to work or at least think about.

The opening speech needs to be thought about as they will be presented Infront of all the delegates and the chairs of the committee. The opening speech is to be written in a formal manner. The opening speech will also determine who one might be working with.

Writing the opening speech can be particularly challenging at times. But using the position paper can help as a guide when writing the opening speech. But keep in mind that you cannot copy and paste the position paper. This can cause major consequences to the delegate.
